Below are Members of the Eccles Province taken many years ago. gathered at the Eccles Cenotaph. after being on Parade on Remembrance day.
William Arthur Ferguson
He was born in Salford on the 7th of July 1884 and
drowned in a accident whilst working on the Manchester ship canal on the
25th of July 1945. He joined the R.A.O.B. on the 29 July 1919 in the
Kingsway Lodge, 1225, he was raised to the 2nd
Degree on the 26 July 1923, raised to the 3rd Degree on the 24 May 1927 and
raised to the 4th Degree on the 26 March 1935, all in the Earl of Ellesmere
Lodge 1638
Harold Ferguson was William Arthur Fergusons
2nd son, a lodge was named after him after his death Harold
was born in Eccles on the 2 August 1922 and
died, also in an accident, whilst working for a transport, company on 26
September 1963 near Coventry both had buff funerals

R.A.O.B. Funeral Service at Peel Green Cemetery
On Thursday, October 4th 1928 at Peel Green Cemetery,the last remains of Irvine Godolphin Boultbee were laid to rest in the presence of his family, relations, and a large number of friends. after the Orthodox funeral service was carried out, the deceased having been a member of a number of lodges, where his wonderful musical abilities were held in high esteem.in the absence of bro J.W. Ireland, R.O.H. (his worship the mayor) Bro A.Crabtree R.O.H., filled the position of Funeral Marshall with due decorum, adding to the Solemnity of a most impressive service. the following lodges were represented Lady de Trafford lodge, 225, Eccles (responsible for the service) the Eccles Provincial Grand lodge, Eccles Knights Chapter Eccles W.and O, Ben Richardson Lodge, 3523, Bridgewater, No 2,351, Eccles, George Burgess, 768 Eccles, John Vernon, 1926, Eccles Victoria, 625, Eccles, Albert Edward,1606, Eccles, Earl of Ellesmere, 1638, Eccles Egerton, 986, Eccles, Salford Provincial Grand Lodge, Salford Knights chapter, Salford W.and O. Devonshire Lodge, 5529, Salford, All Saints, 257, Salford, Earl of Derby, 324, Salford, Ye Old House 1321, Salford, Silver Rose, 2355, Salford, There were 33 members in the link which formed around the family assembled at the grave, and joined in singing "Lead Kindly Light" and "Abide with me" as part of the R.A.O.B. ritual.
